Runts happen with autos more than with photoperiods, and the hard part is deciding early enough whether a slow seedling will catch up or just waste a spot for three months. My rule is that if a plant is less than half the size of its siblings at day twenty one, it goes. Comparison photos of runts that recovered versus ones that never did, taken at the same age, are shared at https://turboautoflowerseeds.com and make the call a lot easier. Popping one extra seed per run covers the loss.
